H+S Utrecht

We are kicking of the Summer Rush event in Utrecht, the Netherlands! join us for a fun, 1-day game of Hide + Seek in the fourth biggest city of the Netherlands. This game includes the very frequent U-Link bus and tram network and Railway Station in the City of Utrecht and surrounding area!

Getting There

• Meeting point: We will meet in front of the Central Station of Utrecht. From here, not only can you reach every corner of the city, but also the entire country!
• Flights: Utrecht has trains every 10-15 minutes from the country’s biggest airport, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS). But trains also go every 10-15 minutes to other minor airports, like Rotterdam (RTM) and Eindhoven (EIN). Because of it’s role of the country’s most important transport hub, you also have great connections from airports in the Ruhr Area (DUS, CGN, DTM) and Brussels (BRU & CRL).
• Trains: As mentioned, Utrecht Centraal is the country’s biggest transportation hub, meaning you can get to every corner of the country, while also boasting direct international day and night trains, including to Vienna, Innsbruck, Munich, Frankfurt and Zürich!
• Transit tickets: We will be using the U-OV Day Ticket, which costs €10.

• Format: Standard Hide + Seek rules with a Medium Metric setup.
• Playable area: The map covers all U-Link bus stops, all tram stops and all railway stations opened on game day in the City of Utrecht and surrounding area.
• Hiding radius: 250m around the chosen station.

About Utrecht

Utrecht is vibrant, highly walkable, and centered around a massive transit hub, making it a brilliant tactical arena for a game like this. The city’s unique two-level canals offer perfect lower-wharf hiding spots, creating interesting hiding spots.

The tap water here is pristine, so just bring a reusable bottle. For quick fuel on the go, grab an iconic Broodje Mario street sandwich right by the water. Pack a power bank, a day ticket for the seamless bus and tram network, and comfortable shoes to disappear in the many cobblestone alleyways!
